Who We Are

Naples Valley Free Methodist Church

FMC-NANaples Valley Free Methodist Church (NVFMC) was established in September 2009. We are a family of believers who have experienced the life-changing power of Jesus Christ and desire to discover and share God’s purpose for life by following Him. We strive to provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere as we live life together, serving one another and our community. We want everyone to know God’s love and the internal peace that comes through a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ, both now and for eternity.

We are a community of believers that seeks continually to be formed by the life-transforming gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that all human life is in need of the healing and saving grace that is available to all through the ministry of Christ on behalf of the whole world. We joyfully affirm the centrality of the Christian scriptures as the faithful and authoritative guide for Christian faith and life. As disciples of Jesus, we believe that we are called to live like Jesus in both personal and corporate holiness. With gratitude, we seek to participate in God's mission in the world by offering the welcome of God's grace to others.

Edgewood Free Methodist Church

Edgewood-FMCNaples Valley FMC is part of the Edgewood FMC family of congregations. Edgewood is one of the oldest Free Methodist Churches in existence.

Beginning in the city of Rochester in the 1860 as First Free Methodist Church, the congregation moved to Edgewood Avenue in Brighton in 1957 and took their new name.

Over the last few years, Edgewood has expanded and become a multi-campus ministry with new congregations in Pittsford (Community of the Savior) and Naples, in addition to the original church in Brighton.

Practically speaking, while we have our own Leadership Team to provide oversight and direction for our local congregation, we are officially under the guidance of the Leadership Board of Edgewood FMC. We have the best of both worlds – the freedom to minister to our community in the ways we deem are ideal, while also having the supervision and accountability of a seasoned team of pastors and lay leaders. Edgewood offers us support in many areas, including pulpit supply, materials, accounting, and prayer. We are grateful for their partnership and support of our church!
