Declaration of Dependence

On Sunday, July 3rd, we ended our service with an opportunity to sign the NVFMC Declaration of Dependence! While we are thankful that our nation is free from the tyranny of other nations, we also acknowledge that we are anything but independent; rather, we are completely and utterly dependent upon God for all things. Here is the text from our declaration:

IN CHRIST, July 3, 2011.

The unanimous Declaration of the Naples Valley Free Methodist Church,

We hold these truths from the Scriptures: We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, and in the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Guide. We commit ourselves to the worship of our Savior, to the worldwide body of Christ, to the promotion of the gospel, to the support of those in need, and to regular communion and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We wholly depend upon God for the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
